Best Time to Visit New Zealand

New Zealand is located in the southern hemisphere, meaning that the seasons are basically the opposite of the northern hemisphere. New Zealand doesn’t have a large temperature range and it has a moderate, maritime climate. The weather can, however, change quickly and it’s not unusual to experience all four seasons in one day.

Temperatures tend to get a bit lower when you move towards the southern parts of New Zealand. The north of New Zealand is subtropical and the south temperate. We decided to split this section into four sections to help you understand the four seasons:

  • Spring
  • Summer
  • Autumn
  • Winter

Seasons Weather Conditions Months

Average daytime temperature: 16 – 19°C September to November
Summer Average daytime temperature: 20 – 25°C December to February
Autumn Average daytime temperature: 17 – 21°C March to May
Winter Average daytime temperature: 12 – 16°C June to August

New Zealand eSIM Plans
