Where is Uluwatu?

Uluwatu, Bali - Surfing spot and sunset

Uluwatu is a pretty town located in the South of Bali.

Known as a surfing hub for those who like to play in the water, it’s also a sunset heaven as well as the perfect spot for beach bumming. With many bars and restaurants to pick from, Uluwatu should be on your Bali itinerary.

I’ve been there on weekends, day trips and for a surfing trip.  It’s always a good getaway to get in relaxing mode and enjoy myself away from the busy streets of Canggu.

You can get there easily by scooter or using apps such as GO-JEK or Grab.

Uluwatu Stay – Accommodation in Uluwatu

You should know that Uluwatu region is quite big. If you decide to stay outside the main town, you will need a scooter to get around as there’s not so much in some areas (which could be ideal if you’re looking for something quieter).

Ideally, you might want to be around these beaches: Dreamland, Bingin, Balangan and Padang Padang Beach.
