Long-term travelers and digital nomads always try to find local or regional SIM cards when they travel. Sometimes, it’s pretty easy. But some other times, it can get challenging.

When your phone only supports one SIM card, you have to choose, or worst, start swapping SIM cards to use your banking app. Ew. Been there, done that.

This is where SimCorner eSIM comes in. Imagine if you could have an eSIM instead.

You could top up anywhere, anytime, without having to find a kiosk at the airport, without having to swap your SIM card. A SimCorner eSIM can make your life better!

In this complete SimCorner review, we’ll provide you with more details on eSIMs, and we’ll explain how to use SimCorner to purchase an eSIM for your upcoming travels.

There’s a catch, though – you’ll need to make sure your phone supports eSIM technology first. However, if your device doesn’t support eSIMs, you’ll still be able to purchase a prepaid SIM card on SimCorner.

❔What Is An eSIM?

An eSIM is basically a virtual SIM card.

This means you won’t need to collect many different SIM cards from around the world anymore.

Now all you need to do is either scan the QR code or manually enter the details given to you once you have purchased your eSIM plan on SimCorner.

No more fumbling with those tiny pieces of plastic or getting lost in translation as you try to communicate to connect your phone to the Internet.

With a SimCorner eSIM plan, you can have your collection of eSIM cards all stored in one place.

This also doesn’t limit your device’s capabilities to have a physical SIM card, so you still keep your service with your chosen home network.

❔ What Devices Support eSIM?

As stated previously, some devices don’t support eSIM yet.

While eSIMs are now implemented into new phones, they don’t work on older models.

Another thing to note when trying to figure out if your device is compatible or not is where you have purchased it. Some countries currently have limitations or restrictions that could impact your ability to use an eSIM.

You can look at the best eSIM phones to learn more.

❔ What Is SimCorner?

SimCorner is a SIM and eSIM store offering plans in over 80 countries. So, if your device doesn’t support eSIM technology, you’ll still be able to purchase a prepaid SIM cars for your travels.

Their products are tailored to the needs of travelers and digital nomads, with a particular focus on providing SIMs with high data limits at affordable prices.

The company was founded in 2012 in Melbourne, Australia, but offers shipping in other places, too (New Zealand, Canada, UK, USA, and Europe).

❔ How Does SimCorner Work?

Now that you know what SimCorner is, let’s see how it works.

SimCorner is an eSIM and SIM card store that allows you to find local or regional plans for your travels.

You can buy a plan in just a few minutes by following the steps below:

  1. Go to SimCorner.
  2. Type your destination in the search bar.
  3. Decide if you prefer an eSIM or a SIM card for your destination.
  4. Compare your options and click on the product that suits your needs.
  5. Click on the button “BUY NOW”.
  6. Pick your travel date. When I bought mine, the closest date available was two days later.
  7. Click on “Checkout”.
  8. Pick a payment method, and enter your information for shipping. You can get 5% off with my promo code: ABBPTravel.
  9. Click on “Continue to shipping”.
  10. On the next screen, you’ll see the shipping method is set to “Sent to your email (within 24-48 hours)”.
  11. Enter your billing address and click on “Complete order”.
  12. On the next screen, you’ll see that your purchase is confirmed.
  13. You’ll receive a confirmation email.
  14. SimCorner will send you your eSIM within 24-48 hours. I had to wait 5 hours and 38 minutes to receive my eSIM.
  15. Scan your QR code to install the eSIM on your device.
  16. Turn on your eSIM to activate it.
  17. Enable roaming.
  18. Enjoy the Internet.

Now, let’s talk about the purchase. When buying a SIM card, you’ll need to get it shipped, which means it’s important to order it before your trip so that you can get it on time.

As eSIMs are virtual, I was surprised the buying process was the same as purchasing a prepaid SIM card. The process could have been a bit shorter.

Now, there’s one more thing to consider. Other eSIM providers can send eSIMs immediately, so if you’re already abroad, it’s great! However, I had to wait 5 hours and 38 minutes to receive my eSIM by email.

If you haven’t left home yet, this may not be a problem, but if you’re already abroad and need mobile data fast, it’s not ideal. So, I’m hoping SimCorner will improve its eSIM process in the future to provide a better experience.

That said, as soon as I got my eSIM, I could activate it and connect to the Internet quickly. SimCorner also provided a complete guide to installing the eSIM, which can be very handy if it’s your first time buying an eSIM.

✅ What Are The Benefits Of Using SimCorner?

There are three main things that we all need to take care of as soon as we get off the plane.

Get through and survive the typically long immigration queues, exchange or withdraw money, and purchase a SIM card.

One of the best things about using SimCorner to purchase an eSIM or a SIM card for your travels is that you can be connected to the Internet on arrival.

SimCorner takes away all the stress of buying a SIM card when arriving at a new destination.

You can even opt for a regional plan if you’re visiting multiple destinations.

With a SimCorner plan, you can connect to the local network as soon as the pilot turns that seatbelt sign off. No more hoping and struggling to connect to the airport’s free wifi.

Below, you’ll find more advantages of using SimCorner to purchase SIM cards and eSIMs:

  • Legitimate and safe eSIM and SIM card provider
  • Offers plans in over 80 countries
  • Wide range of plans with high data limits

🗒️ My Experience With SimCorner eSIM

To give you an idea, I tried SimCorner in Thailand in April 2023. Once on the website, I needed to choose my destination and preferred plan. I picked a Thailand plan for 8 days with 15GB.

When you select a country or a region, you can compare all your options. Each plan states if it’s a SIM card or an eSIM. You can click on “More Details” to get more information.

If you click on the plan, you’ll see which countries are supported, and you’ll find more information on the plan.

The buying process is straightforward and takes a few minutes.

I followed the steps mentioned above to purchase my SimCorner plan in Thailand. However, I had to wait to receive the eSIM.

Once I got the eSIM via email, I could connect to the Internet within a few minutes.

❔ Is SimCorner Safe?

SimCorner is a safe and legitimate SIM and eSIM provider.

So, if you’re wondering if SimCorner is legit – yes, it is. The company’s main office is in Melbourne, Australia.

When I tried SimCorner, it worked fine, and I was able to get access to the Internet in just a few minutes after receiving my eSIM QR code.

❔ What To Do If SimCorner Is Not Working?

If you’re having issues with SimCorner when entering a new country, you can always contact customer support to find a solution to your problem.

Usually, the steps below should help you resolve your issues.

  1. In your device settings, your eSIM is active under Mobile Networks
  2. Mobile data is turned on for this eSIM
  3. Data Roaming is On
  4. You are connected to the supported network provider in your carrier settings

We hope the above steps will help you understand the potential issues with your SimCorner eSIM card.

If your mobile device supports eSIMs, SimCorner is a good eSIM provider to consider. Just make sure to order your eSIM before your trip so that you receive it on time. The same applies to SIM cards.

SimCorner is convenient, easy to use, and affordable. I love that they offer big data plans because it’s great for long-term travelers and digital nomads.
