Going to Krabi via speedboat is an option, but the catch here is that you won’t really arrive in Krabi. Let me explain!

If you’re planning on going to Krabi to visit Railay Beach or Ao Nang, taking the speedboat is a brilliant idea.

But, if your goal is to visit Krabi, you’ll need to organize transportation to Krabi on arrival.

Now, it’s important to note that finding a grab driver is hard in Ao Nang, so you’ll likely need to pay more to reach Krabi and negotiate with a local driver.

You’ll have two main options from Phuket:

  1. Speedboat to Ao Nang (2h10)
  2. Speedboat to East Railay (2h30)

Now, it’s important to note that some people have reported that the speedboat is not direct and has a stopover, which can make the journey longer.

It might not be a good option for you if you tend to feel seasick.

That said, ensure a waterproof cover for your luggage because many people have reported broken or wet luggage. Let’s just say that it won’t be a smooth ride!
