Why is Prague so special you may ask?
There’s something magical about Prague. How can you not be compelled by a colorful city where every time you turn a corner, you still are amazed. Every street, every view, every day is beautiful.
And yet, I’m running out of English vocabulary to properly express my love, my new passion for Prague. There are many cool things to do in Prague so you can have a unique holiday!
So many movies have been filmed in Prague and you can easily understand why as you walk around.
Prague is a great destination for everyone. Forget about your secret passion, your gender, and your age, you must go!
Traveling to Prague is perfect for photographers, couples seeking a romantic escape, families, solo travelers… you name it.
In fact, Prague is one of the safest cities in the world and that’s why it is still busy even when you travel “off-season”. Prague in winter is absolutely beautiful. You won’t want to miss it.
Museum-lovers, creepy maniac weirdos, Instagrammers, history nerds, typical tourists, food-porn seekers, and off-the-beaten-path travelers will be pleased in Prague.
Prague is also the home of the Sex Machines Museum and Museum of Historical Chamber Pots and Toilets. Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? You might also want to visit the nuclear bunker, the bone chapel, or Terezín concentration camp while you’re there.
Hidden places in Prague
Historically-wise, Prague is super interesting.
If you’re after a day or a night off the beaten path, where you can enjoy a site pretty much to yourself (or almost) and if you’re seeking a little history lesson, I’d suggest you go on a tour.
As you walk around the city, you’ll be surrounded by historical bits. I’d suggest you go on a tour to learn more about Prague. I would recommend to go for the free tour offered by many hostels around.

Food-wise, Prague will comfort you.
It has been a long journey food-wise here for me. Being a fussy eater, I struggled to adapt to it – and it less than 3 weeks, I became a part-time Czech food eater! Bread dumplings, potato dumplings, pork, chicken, fried cheese, pickled cabbage, goulash… these should add be on your food to-do list.

Prague Astronomical Clock & Old Town Square
Places to visit in Prague in 3 days
Prague Astronomical Clock is a must for many! If you go up, you will get an amazing view of the Old Town. Personally, I decided to skip it as I found other great spots for a more affordable view. I have to say, it looks pretty beautiful though! As this part of the city is quite touristy, you might have to share the view with a crowd!
The Old Town Square is surrounded by beautiful and colorful buildings. In the area, you will find many restaurants and food stands. Although, it will be a bit more pricey as it’s the touristy area.
Pražský Metronom
Most beautiful places in Prague
I’d say grab lunch and go for a picnic with a view! Many young people are hanging around this spot and it’s easily accessible. Bonus: it’s free!
Charles Bridge
Probably, the most popular bridge around, you must go on it!
John Lennon Wall
Prague destinations
Street art lovers and rainbow color hunters (like me!) have to add John Lennon Wall on their list. It changes quickly and you might have the chance to hear a street performer while you’re there too.

I hope you can find this spot easily. As soon as you cross Charles Bridge to get to Prague Castle, you’ll see a little tower on the right-hand side of the street. It’s more affordable than the Astronomical clock and the view is stunning!

What to see in Prague in 3 days
First, I’d suggest you go to the area during the day as you can get a pretty good view of the city around the castle as it’s higher. Then, as already mentioned, I would suggest you go on a night tour to see the castle light up at night!
The Beer Garden
You don’t even need to drink beer to enjoy Vysehrad. The view is one of the best in town – you can grab a drink or a sausage at their small canteen. I recommend you go around sunset time for the best experience.
Saturday Market
On a Saturday morning, get fresh vegetables and fruits (or pick up your lunch) at Náplavka. This market gets quite busy but the food is amazing.
Rent a paddleboat
Go to Zofin island and rent a paddleboat, so you can enjoy the views of the bridge directly on the water. Grab drinks or a local Czech beer and relax under the sun.
Where to stay in Prague
I had the privilege to stay at Sophie’s Hostel while I was in Prague. Seriously, this is probably the best hostel out there (and I would even say “worldwide”)!
What’s so special about Sophie’s Hostel?
Right on my arrival, I was amazed by the staff. The kind girl who checked me in gave me great tips about Prague. I didn’t have to ask anything, all the information was served on a silver platter. I knew where the supermarket was, the local and cheap restaurants/pubs and where to find the best sights in town.
Then, I discovered my room. How can you not be happy with the most charming private room? It’s the best of both worlds; you have the privacy but also the great atmosphere found in a hostel.
I also visited other rooms in this hostel and even the dorms look great! They have female dorms (yes!) They provide a private kitchen and bathroom. So, ladies, this seems like the perfect option!
They offer two types of breakfast buffets (a cold one/ a hot one). And seriously, the hostel breakfast brings you to a whole new level. It makes you believe that they understand how it should work! (Yes, they also had pancakes!)
Backpacking Prague Hostel
Sophie’s Hostel is one cool property. It’s also part of a bigger family; Bohemian Hostels & Hotels.
I visited Miss Sophie’s New Town which is a boutique hotel next door, and again, I was absolutely under the charm of this place.
You might want to take a look at Czech Inn (ultra-modern hostel), the Nicholas Hotel Residence (charming and very romantic hotel), Sir Toby’s (another unique hostel) and Somewhere Nice.
