Wondering what to do in Alcudia, Majorca? When I visited Alcudia, I stayed at the Ferrer Hotel and I explored the area.
I first discovered the port. I love boat-kind-of-scenes. It’s always pretty colorful, relaxing and it gives a cool perspective of the sea.

But this was only the beginning. There was much more to come, discover, and fall for.
The next day, I walked around Alcúdia town. There’s an old part where I was very pleased with the colorful streets. These kinds of streets always remind me that I’m in Europe. We don’t have these kinds of charming views in North America.
Then, I decided to reach the coast where I found the cutest blue spots you will find anywhere. The place was gorgeous, surrounded by water, white birds, and mountains in the backdrop.
I had the whole place to myself. Believe me, it’s the kind of place you should simply hire a bike and ride around. The view won’t disappoint you!
I continued my walk around the coast to discover many more beautiful places. It was quiet. In fact, I didn’t meet any other tourists along the way. Was it because it wasn’t the peak season? Perhaps, it was. But, I doubt that many people will wander around on their own if nobody’s talking about it in a book, on a map or even on the Internet.
Then, on my last day, I completely failed at getting a bike. So I had to change my plan for the day, I decided to walk around Alcúdia beach.
Alcúdia had received an unusual quantity of rain a few days earlier and it destroyed the beautiful image we have from their beach. It’s a shame as the beach wasn’t at its best. As they are working on fixing the situation, I still manage to find the place charming. There are long piers that offer you a great view too.
During summertime, the water seems even bluer. Or at least, that’s what Instagram is telling us.
Alcúdia Hotels – Where to stay in Alcúdia, Majorca
Alcúdia isn’t necessarily the first place people will first think about when booking their holidays in Majorca. Although, it was such a cute little gem and I was quite pleased with my discovery. It’s a lovely area, not too crowded, and offers you several unique sights. If you want to avoid touristy Palma and get off the beaten track, I reckon Alcúdia would be the right place to stay.
I had the privilege to stay at one of the Ferrer Hotels. There have many hotels in Majorca and Menorca. Two of their hotels are located in Alcúdia. They offer an amazing breakfast buffet, Wi-fi and their room provides a kitchenette. During the peak season, they also offer free shuttles from the airport. I found their staff to be very friendly and helpful. They are chatty and it gives you a family vibe.
If you want to move around the island instead of staying in one place, please note that they also have properties in other locations.
