Don’t worry though, I’ve put together this list of all my favorite options.
The best games for campers need to be compact both for storage and whilst playing.
For this reason, card games are usually the go-to but we’ve managed to find some other great options too.
Here are 12 great campervan games suitable for van life that don’t compromise on the fun.
Classic Games
If you’re a fan of the classics you’ll be happy to hear that many of them now come in travel-sized versions. Some rules are the same, but others are a fun twist on the classic rules.
Grab & Go Variety Pack
If you’re looking for an easy grab-and-go option that won’t break the bank, Hasbro has created this awesome Grab & Go variety pack. It includes four classic games; Monopoly, Clue, Connect 4, and Hungry Hungry Hippos, so there’s sure to be something for everyone.
Each game comes in a handy storage case so they are easy to literally “grab and go”. All four are suitable for as few as two players.
Monopoly Deal
This is a great twist on the classic Monopoly theme but it’s played completely different and has no fiddly pieces or paper money to carry with you. It’s a card game that’s fast-paced and fun for those as young as 8 years old and only takes around 15 minutes per round.
Monopoly Deal aim is to collect three complete property sets but there are plenty of twists and turns to set you back along the way. It’s suitable for 2 to 5 players and you’ll need a little luck and a little strategy to be crowned the winner!
Uno
The ultimate classic family card game, Uno is also the best game for campers because it’s small, fast-paced, and can be played with 2 to 10 players.
There are plenty of different versions of this world-famous game but it’s hard to beat the classic version. This set even comes in a handy metal tin so everything stays together and doesn’t get damaged during travel.
Adults Only Campervan Games
If there are no kids involved and you want a game that’s a little more challenging, there are some really fun adult targetted games available.
Hunt A Killer: Death at the Dive Bar
Hunt a Killer are well known for their monthly subscription box but the “Death at the Dive Bar” board games delivers the same fun without the monthly wait.
Do some good old detective work and use the clues to solve the murder. The amount of “evidence” that comes in the box is seriously impressive.
The only downside is that it’s a one-time game as once you solve the murder you can’t play again. It is seriously fun though and passing it onto a fellow camper or family member is a great idea.
I Should Have Known That!
I Should Have Known That! is a fast-paced trivia card game will have you shouting in frustration.
With over 400 questions about things you should know, it’ll have you questioning how much you really rely on Google! Unlike traditional games, you don’t score points for correct answers but are deducted points for not knowing.
There are questions that will have you scratching your head and some that seem so simple you might start double guessing yourself. It’s the perfect campervan game for 2 players and up.
Catch Phrase: Uncensored
This one is strictly for adults only! It’s an uncensored version of the popular electronic Catchphrase game with over 5000 adult words and phrases. It could be played with just two people but is most fun when used in a group situation.
The unit gives you a phrase to act out and others have to guess the word or phrase before the timer counts down. It’s small and portable but does need three AAA batteries that are not included.

If you’re planning some campervan travel as a family and want something you can all enjoy together, there are some great options.
All these games are suitable for kids of varying ages but adults will have plenty of fun too.
Bananagrams
The Bananagrams is a fun game that can be played solo or with up to 8 players and is best for kids 7 years and above. If you haven’t played before, it’s a little like scrabble but without the board and points system.
There are a couple of different ways you can play and it’s even a great way to build kid’s literacy skills. Even if you don’t have kids with you, it’s a winner!
Spot It!
This is a great visual game that has no words to read so can be played by kids as young as 6 and is designed for 2 to 8 players.
The idea is easy, simply spot the two matching symbols on the cards but the game itself is surprisingly challenging. Spot It! game is all about speed and attention to detail!
There are a total of 55 cards and 5 fun ways to play. Everything you need comes in a compact metal storage tin that’s great for travel.
Exploding Kittens
As weird as the name sounds, this quirky card game is sort of taking the world by storm! It’s sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and it’s easy to see why.
The Exploding Kittens game is designed to be tongue in cheek and the illustrations are both funny and memorable.
It’s really easy to pick up and doesn’t have any super complicated instructions or strategies. This card game can be played with kids as young as 7 and is great for between 2 and 8 players.
Got A Little More Space?
All the above games are great if you don’t have much space but if you have a little more room to spread out I think these are well worth considering.
Whether you just have a larger van or like to spread out at your campsite, you’ll love these fun campervan games.
Beat That!
If you love to show off your quirky party trick or mastering a new talent, Beat That! is a fun group or family challenge game.
There are some wacky tasks and you get everything you’ll need in the box including plastic cups, ping pong balls, a timer, dice, betting coins, and more.
The game is based on 10 challenge rounds and there are 160 possible challenges. It’s designed to play in larger teams but it’s also a really fun head-to-head challenge game for couples too.
It’s suitable for ages 8 and up and there are some seriously wacky tasks that will have everyone in stitches!
Sequence
This is an easy to learn but really fun game that’s a little like 5 in a Row, Bingo, and Poker call rolled into one. Sequence is a part card game, part board game, and is suitable for 2 to 12 players, aged 7 and up.
The idea is simple – play a card from your hand and you get to place a token on the corresponding board tile. Look out for the “wild” jack cards, though. You’ll need both strategy and luck to come out on top.
Trekking The National Parks
What better campervan game than one themed around the National Parks?! This game is a little like monopoly and there is both skill and strategy involved.
Trekking The National Parks was designed to be fun and educational and each of the National Parks cards has a fun fact and beautiful image.
Kids aged 10 and up will love playing, as will adults, and it’s suitable for between 2 and 5 players.
