Krabi is quite a popular spot for those who want to explore some of the best Thai islands out there. It’s easy to get there (hello Krabi Airport). Usually, people don’t tend to stick around Krabi too long as there are many fun things to do not too far from Krabi. It’s basically a great starting point to visit the very popular and touristy Railay Beach area.
With so many cool islands around Krabi, I’m pretty certain you won’t want to stick around Krabi town too long. You got a few great options such as Phi Phi Islands, Koh Yao Noi, Koh Lanta and many more.

I spent a week on this beautiful island.
But, let’s get to the point – getting to Koh Lanta from Krabi.
How to Get to Koh Lanta from Krabi
There are basically two options – by boat or by van. The boat option is super scenic of course, but it’s quite pricey. The budget option would be the van which is pretty quick and cheap.
When it comes to booking your transportation, you can either book via 12GO or directly at your accommodation.
I personally booked a van. It took about 3 hours including stops at the main bus station in Krabi and at the airport. That being said, if you’re not keen on Krabi, you could basically hop off your flight and take a van straight to Koh Lanta in about 2 hours.

A fair price should be around TBH 350-400. I paid TBH 400 as I was actually staying just outside Krabi.
